Wendy Ann Wheeler

Reidsville-Wendy Saunders Wheeler, 45, of Reidsville passed away on Saturday, December 13th, 2014 at Moses Cone Hospital. Wendy was born on March 14th, 1969 in Durham County to James Roland Saunders and Margaret Collins Saunders Pruitt. She was a graduate of Rockingham County High School and Rockingham Community College. Most recently, she worked with her brother as a bookkeeper at J. W. Saunders Construction. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Wendy enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and four-wheelers. She was preceded in death by her father, James Roland Saunders. Survivors include her daughter, Emalea Wheeler; her mother, Margaret Saunders Pruitt; her brother, James W. Saunders, all of Reidsville; her niece, Cynthia Ann Saunders of Lexington, South Carolina; several aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 17th, 2014 at two o’clock at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Rev. Ron Tuck will officiate. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from six until eight o’clock at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at her home.
