Wesley Lee Pruitt

Wesley Lee Pruitt, 57, passed away on May 9, 2021 in Reidsville, NC. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Greenview Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to the service, from 12:45-1:45pm at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Wayne and Amber Denny. Wesley, also known as “Howard Cosell”, was born on September 2, 1963 in Reidsville. Wesley worked at Short Sugars for many years and made a lot of friends while he was there. He will be remembered as a happy fun person, who always had a smile on his face. Wesley loved all sports, but especially Nascar. He loved to spend time with his family and help others as much as he could. Wesley will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Raymond Pruitt, Sr.; wife, Joyce Durham; brother, Raymond Pruitt, Jr.; sister, Patricia “San” Pruitt and nephew, David Matherly. He is survived by his brother’s, Doug Pruitt, Sr. and Ned Pruitt, Sr.; sister, Barbara Ann Denny Sanchez; nephews, Wayne Denny and wife Amber, David Pruitt, Douglas Pruitt, Jr., Ned “Spanky” Pruitt, Jr., Ricky “Lil Rick” Lewis, Jr.; nieces, Mandy Lewis, Katy Pruitt-Lovings, Miranda Pruitt-Williams, Jessica Pruitt; in addition to many other great-nieces and nephews and other extended family.
