Wilbur Pearson "Junior" Davis, III

Reidsville: Wilbur P. “Junior” Davis, III, 64, of 132 Cove Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 2, 2015 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Chatham officiating. The burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Junior was born in Gastonia, NC and was the son of the late Annie Funderburk Isaacs and Wilbur P. Davis, Jr. He retired from Reynolds American with over 28 years of service. Junior loved fishing, boating and spending time at Topsail Beach. He was a hard working man and a good provider. He enjoyed spending time with his family and always shared his fun sense of humor with everyone. Along with his parents, Junior was also preceded in death by his sister, Pamela M. Smith. Junior is survived by his wife, Thresa Stott Davis of the home; his sons, Wilbur P. “Little Junior” Davis, IV of Durham and Brandon J. Davis of the home; brothers, James Alexander and wife, Jackie of Rougemont, NC and Douglas Davis of Durham, NC; sisters, Cindy Jeffries and husband, Milton of Rougemont, NC, Sherry Johnson, Robyn Davis-Wilson and Tonya McDaniel and husband, Ted all of Durham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
