William Keith Adkins

Reidsville: William Keith Adkins, 57, of 367 Maggy Valley Road, died on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Annie Penn Hospital.William was born in Henry County, VA to Janie Bowles Adkins and the late, William Roy Adkins. He worked in textiles most of his life and was a superintendent at Cone Weaving for 10 years. William was a veteran of the US Army, a baseball coach and an avid fisherman. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Adkins.He is survived by his wife, Susie Adkins; sons, Brian K. Adkins, Joshua R. Adkins and William R. Adkins; daughters, Sandra M. Fuller and Penny Benfield; grandchildren, Micah, Chace and Rebekah Bunn, Amanda Alan and Allison Benfield, Alexis, Jada and Ella Adkins; and three more on the way; mother, Janie Bowles Adkins; siblings, Gail Ferrell, Sandra Warrick, David Adkins and Brenda Lewis.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Friday, September 16th from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. Other times the family will be at the home of the daughter, Sandra Fuller, 239 Sandy Cross Road, Reidsville.The family request the memorial contributions be made in honor of his grand nephew, Nathan Moran, c/o United Baptist Church, US 29 North, Danville, VA 24540.
