William "Billy" Andrews, Jr.

William “Billy” Andrews, Jr., 73, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at his home in Brown Summit, NC.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 29, 2022, from 6-8PM and other times at the home. A funeral service will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at 1:00PM with Rev. Mickey Alcorn officiating. Burial will follow at 11:00AM, on Monday, May 2, 2022, at Lakeview Memorial Park with Pastor Randy Pearman officiating.

Billy was born to the late Roxie and William Andrews, Sr. on May 22, 1948, in Guilford County, NC. He graduated in 1966 from Northeast Guilford High School and then served in the United States Army until he came home and started working for Miller Brewing Company. He married his wife, Cheryl in 1978 and together they raised a family in Brown Summit. Billy enjoyed hunting, sports and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his easy-going, laid-back personality. Billy will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Paul Andrews; sisters, Louise Adams and Joyce Robinson. Billy is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cheryl Smith Andrews; son, William “Andy” Andrews and wife Ashley; daughter, Brandy Isley; grandchildren, Gracie, Rylan, Mason, Rylee; sisters, Becky Andrews, Sue Andrews, Sandra Stone and husband Keith; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
