Stokesdale-William Berton "Bill" Norman, 70, of 8310 Prince Edward Road, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 7, 2011.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens, located at 7875 US Highway 158, Reidsville.Mr. Norman was the son of the late Melvin and Causey Tilley Norman. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Destiny Norman and his sister, Nyoka White.Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Mary Lee Norman of the home; children, Billy Joe Norman and wife, Patti of Stokesdale, NC, Daniel Berton Norman and wife, Tammi of Stokesdale, NC, Debra Lee Norman Sellers and husband, Rick of Stoneville, NC, Cynthia Ann Norman of Raleigh, NC and William Phillip Norman and wife, Tammy of Reidsville, NC; four grandchildren, Scottie, Crystal, Justin and Alyssa; great grandson, Landon; sisters, Frances Mabe and husband, Harry of Greensboro, NC and Ruth Butler and husband, Bill of Stokesdale, NC; brothers, Jerry Norman and wife, Joan, Larry Norman and wife, Faye and Leroy Norman and wife, Maryjane all of Reidsvlle; and numerous nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 11 from 6:00 - 800 PM and other times will be at the home.
