William “Bill” Richard Morrow, 84, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
There will be a Celebration of Life service at 7:00PM on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Growing Oaks Community Church with Pastors Tommy Massey and Greg Robertson officiating.
Bill was born in Whitinsville, MA, but chose North Carolina as his home. He water skied competitively and built a winning personal drag race car at home. He worked many years as quality control supervisor at Becton Dickinson then went to Bombardier, where he sold Can-Am motorcycles in the southeast. In 2000, he started his own business B&K Service and Sales. Bill served two years in the Air Force Reserve and was very patriotic. He was also an avid New England Patriots fan. He loved his church family, especially at Growing Oaks Community Church, where he was the “official” Hugger/Greeter. For several years he helped with the Food Pantry at Grace Fellowship.
Bill leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Kathy; son, Billy Morrow; daughter, Lori Stockwell and husband, Jeff and granddaughter, Jordyn Stockwell; his “right hand man” father-in-law, Harold and mother-in-law, Betty DeGraff; and his loyal companion, Webster.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that you make donations to Growing Oaks Community Church, 7921 US 158, Reidsville, NC 27320 or to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
