William Fletcher Carroll

Reidsville - William Fletcher Carroll, 90, of 113 Mitchell Road, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dave Huggins and Dr. Ron Boswell officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military rites performed by the Rockingham County Honor Guard. Mr. Carroll was born in Rockingham County to the late James Fletcher and Lucy Carter Carroll. He served in the US Army during WWII, was a retiree of The American Tobacco Company and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lettie Mae Joyce Carroll, and infant child; brothers, James Russell Carroll and Howard Raymond Carroll.Survivors include his nephew Ray Carroll of Reidsville and niece, Betty Sue Loftis and husband, Charles of Surf City; several great nieces and nephews.The family will see friends on Wednesday, December 28th from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, PO Box 686, Reidsville, North Carolina 27320.
