William Lee Daves

Reidsville, NC - William Lee Daves, Sr., 91, went to be with his Lord on Friday, March 30, 2018, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 2, 2018 at Greenview Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Rev. Duane King officiating. Visitation for family and friends will take place Sunday evening, April 1, 2018 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6:00 till 8:00 PM and other times at the home. Mr. Daves was born on July 1, 1926 to the late Killis Daves and Bessie Aker Daves in Gaston County. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. His hobby was tinkering with mechanical things. He will be truly missed and loved by his family. He was a retired textile worker. Along with his parents, Mr. Daves was preceded in death by daughter, Vickie Daves; grandson, Danny and great grandson, Frankie; three sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his wife, Irene Daves of the home; daughters: Evelyn Walker, Judy Robertson, and Ethel Pettigrew; sons: William “Bill” Daves, Jr. and Michael Daves; 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and 9 great, great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
