William R. Easter

Reidsville: William R. Easter, Sr. of 221 Busick Road, died on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 28, 2011 at Burton Memorial Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Mr. Easter was born in Mt. Airy, NC to the late James and Celia Easter and was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in WWII. He was a retired truck driver with Carolina By-Products and a member of Burton Memorial Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Mickey Ray Easter; great grandson, Jeremiah Hayden; previous wife, Peggy Louise Easter; and brother, Ronald Easter. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Land Easter; sons, Dale Easter and wife Joann, Tommy Easter and wife, Sandra, Tony Easter, Larry Easter, Jody Easter and wife, Christy, Bill Easter, Jr. and wife, Michelle; daughters, Charlotte Stanley and husband, Jewel, Jackie Farkas and husband, John; step daughters, Kathy Knowles, Xandra Vaughn and husband, David, Mickie Kelly and husband, Tim, Barbara Martin, Deborah Walker and husband, Gary, and Tina Pegram; a special granddaughter , Christy Vaughn; 33 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; brothers, Ralph and Jim Easter; sisters, Katherine Hill, Esther Davis, Laura Ellen Finney and husband, Lolly.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Thursday, January 27th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Other times the family will be at the residence.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Scott Luking and Dr. Robert Rothbart.
