Reidsville– William Edward “Billy” Lucas, 69, of 753 Quick Road in Ruffin, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009. Mr. Lucas was born in Caswell County North Carolina to the late Caleb “Cap” Lewis Lucas and Helen Page Lucas. He lived in Roanoke, Virginia for many years before returning to Ruffin and was a self employed electrician as well as the owner and operator of several small businesses. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Lee Durham Lucas; daughter, Connie Lee Lucas; brothers, Bobby and Richard Lucas. Billy will always be loved and missed. He is survived by daughters, Sandra Kay Lucas Courts and Pamela Lucas Patsel; grandchildren, Shane Lucas, Sloan Wilson, Sandon Lee Wilson, Shelley Patsel, Storm Manus and Summer Manus; great grandchildren, Sarah Annabelle Lucas, Rose Marie Lucas and Angel Dawn Davis; sister, Marylynn Lucas. There will be no formal funeral service. The family will receive friends at the home on Wednesday, September 9, throughout the day.
