William Thomas Fowble

Ruffin – William Thomas Fowble, 81, of Goose Pond Road, died on Friday, April 10, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM on Monday, April 13, 2009 at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Lee Eggers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Fowble was a native of Hampstead, MD and was the son of the late George Maurice and Erma Rachel Shaffer Fowble. He was a veteran in the US Army serving during WWII. He was owner and operator of Penmar Farms. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Frank and Jim Fowble. Mr. Fowble is survived by his wife, Barbara Walker Fowble of the home; his son, Terry Fowble of Charlottesville, VA; his sister, Phyllis Redding of Westminster, MD; his brothers, Fred Fowble and wife, Arlene of Goldsboro, NC and Russell Fowble of Manchester, MD and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Sunday, April 12, 2009, from 6 to 8 PM and other times at the residence.
