William Stuart Hanks

Reidsville: William Stuart Hanks, Sr., 75, of 473 Miller’s Chapel Rd., passed away on Tuesday , November 4, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 7, 2014, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mickey Alcorn officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends and family on Thursday evening November 6, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times the family will be at the home. Stuart was born in Guilford County, on April 10, 1939, to the late Reid Andrew Hanks and Mae Barham Hanks. He was a retired plumber for H & B Plumbing and a member of Bible Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Stuart was preceded in death by his son, William Stuart Hanks, Jr.; brothers, Leonard Hanks, Ray Hanks and Lonnie Hanks. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty six years, Juanita Hanks; two daughters, Rita Bray and Anita Strader and husband Gerald; grandchildren, Rachel Wilson and husband Tommy, Adam Bray and wife Megan, Landen Bowman and girlfriend Kathy and Austin Bowman; great grandchildren, Haedyn, Levi, Colin, Sawyer and Darci; brother, Andrew Hanks and wife Lorraine and sister, Ruby Basham and husband Junior.
