William Roger Moore

William Roger Moore, 70, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 19, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home and other times at the home of Russell Moore. Roger was born in Rockingham County to the late Harvey Russell Moore and Elsie Ann Spicer Moore. He retired from American Tobacco/ Commonwealth with over 30 years of service. He was a home body and his favorite thing was being out on the porch with family and friends or going to church at The Rock Church of the Living God. Most of all he loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bud Moore (Audrey) and sister, Joanne Markham. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Fran Toler Moore; children, Carol Moore (Tyron), Russell Moore (Hannah); sister, Rosie Mae Williams; grandchildren, Kaleb Jarrell, Will Moore, Case Moore and Luke Moore; brother in law, Charles Markham; special cousin, Steve Moore and a large extended family.
