William Elwood Murray

Reidsville- William Elwood Murray, 67, of 515 Barnes Street, passed away on November 7, 2011 at his home.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Murray officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery.William was born on February 9, 1944 in Rockingham County to the late John and Ethel May Stone Murray. He was a pipefitter, welder and a member of the pipefitter union # 421. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, James and Paul Murray.William is survived by his son, Michael Elwood Murray of Glen Allen, VA; brothers, Lewis Murray of Oak Island, NC, Joe Murray and wife, Janice of Reidsville, NC, Robert Murray and wife, Laverne of Reidsville, NC and Samuel Murray of Oak Island, NC; sisters, Linda Murray, and Ester Murray both of Reidsville; and numerous family and friends. The family will receive friends following the service.
