William Allen "P.D." Pruitt

Reidsville: William Allen “P.D.” Pruitt, 62, of 384 Brooks Road, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 24, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bruce McBride officiating. The burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. P.D. was born in Rockingham County and was employed with Golden Belt Manufacturers and later retired from Shamrock Engravers. He was an avid sports enthusiast who loved the New York Yankees and the Green Bay Packers. His favorite past times included field trialing with English Pointers and bragging on his Ford truck. He was preceded in death by his father, Pop Pruitt. He is survived by his wife, Norma Evans Pruitt of the home; his daughters, Millie A. Pruitt of Ruffin and Casey L. Pruitt of Reidsville; grandchildren, Josh Pruitt, Raegan Davis, Michelle Reid, Victoria Pruitt, Shivie Logan and B Blackwell; four great grandchildren; mother, Orene Potter and husband, Robert of Reidsville; sister, Janice Paschal and husband, Glenn of Ruffin; brother, Jeff Pruitt and wife, Kristy of Kernersville; nephews, Austin and Colby Pruitt; special friend Eddie Tuck and his noble steed, “Tuck”. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at his mother’s home (122 Hudspeth Park Road, Reidsville).
