William Oliver Stanley

Reidsville – William Oliver “Jimmy” Stanley, Jr., 68, of 167 Williamson Creek Road, Pelham, died on Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Danville Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. Mr. Stanley was born in Rockingham County to the late William Oliver Stanley, Sr. and Lillie Mae Scott Stanley. He was retired from North Carolina Gas and was a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his sons, Michael Stanley and wife Mary Lou, Bobby Stanley, all of Pelham; grandchildren, Jessica Stanley, Tayla Dosher and Cassie Dosher, Olivia Stanley , Destiney Stanley; brothers, Jack Stanley of Ruffin, Doug Stanley of Bethany, half brother, Frank Thompson; sister, Martha Ann Stanley, half sister, Alma Strader and companion, Debra Moss. The family will receive friends Friday, March 4, 2011, at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 7 to 9 P.M. and other times at the residence.
