William Paul Stone

Reidsville – William Paul Stone, 75, of 789 Irvin Farm Road, passed away on Saturday June 7, 2014 at Beacon Place of Greensboro. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 PM on Monday, prior to the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Paul was born in Rockingham County to the late George Swanson and Hattie Mae Walker Stone and was a retiree of Neese’s Sausage. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church and the Young At Heart Sunday School Class. He enjoyed NASCAR, Braves Baseball, deer and turkey hunting, yard work and helping others. Most of all to his family he was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother. Survivors include his wife Irvene Jones Stone of the home; daughter, Kim Stone; son Keith Stone and wife, Sandra all of Greensboro; grandchildren, April Rakestraw and husband, Brian and Renee Powe; great grandchildren, Garrett and Gauge Rakestraw; brother, James Albert Stone and wife, Edna of Reidsville; niece, Cathy Oakes and husband, Tim and their children, Camden and Cara and numerous cousins.
