William Howard Tate

Reidsville – William Howard Tate, 53 of 240 Lorraine Drive, died on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at his home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 6, 2009 Pleasant View Assembly Of God Church Cemetery with Rev. Gary Loftis officiating. Howard was born in Rockingham County to the late Javan Curry and Addie Perdue Tate and was a retired truck driver. He was a member of the Jefferson Penn Masonic Lodge # 384 and Pleasant View Assembly Of God. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jacob Lee Tate and very special friend, Jimmy Autry. Survivors include his children, Darrell Tate, April Tate, Jason Smith, Andy Nelson and Sandy Smith; eight special grandchildren; brother, Jerry Wayne Tate; sisters, Shirley Ward and Patsy Tate; very special friends D.R. Smith and Wanda Nelson. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral home on Sunday, April 5th from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Other times the family will be at the residence of April Tate, 231 Lorraine Drive.
