Willie Reece Ford

Reidsville, Willie Reece Ford, 86, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Covington Wesleyan Church Home with Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn cemetery. Willie was born in Rockingham County to the late Charlie Edger Reece and Lottie Lee Loftis Reece and was a retiree of Creighton. She was a member of Covington Wesleyan Church and a member of the Salvation Army Women’s Home League. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “T. H.”, Hunter Ford, Jr.; brothers, Paul Reece, Cecil Reece, Daniel Reece and Frederick Cook and sister, Juanita Myrick. Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Ford Taffer and Major; grandchildren, Lauren Blair Ford, Tiffany Danielle Land and husband, Billy and Kaitlin Victoria Taffer; great grandchild, Jarred Land, Makenzie Land, La’Maya Morehead, Kiley Blair Land, London Morehead and Michael Lee Brown, III; special nephew, Freddie Reece and family of Florida and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at 306 Thompsonville Street. Memorial contributions may be made to Covington Wesleyan Church, 3218 Vance Street Ext. Reidsville, NC 27320.
