Wynell Loftis Gooch

Thomasville: Wynell Loftis Gooch, 83, of 205 Pineywood Road, Apt. 30, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Annie Penn Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Loftis officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville.Mrs. Gooch was born in Caswell County to the late Andrew Carlyle and Myrtle Frances Garrison Loftis. She was a former employee of Hanover Mills and Yanceyville Civic Center. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her former husband, Henry Darris Gooch; four brothers and three sisters.Survivors include her daughter, Christine Burch and husband, Clinton; son, Wayne Gooch; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Wayland Loftis; sisters, Carol L.Wetzler and Marjorie L. Dix.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Thursday.
