Yoniver Sanchez Ocampo

Yoniver "Guero" Sanchez Ocampo, 47 passed away peacefully on Friday, August 23,2024.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Infant Catholic Church on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 11:00AM with Father Frank J. Seabo Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour after the service at the church to pay their respects.

Guero was born in Ixcapuzalco to Nicolasa Ocampo and the late Miguel Sanchez. Güero was a wonderful father and husband who made sure to spoil his wife and daughter. One of his biggest accomplishments was being a father. He had always wanted to have children and was fortunate enough to have a daughter and spend 5 years with her. He loved nothing more than spending time with his daughter and being the best father he could be for her. He loved fishing and gardening. He was happy and always enjoyed talking to everyone. Even though he was fighting with many health issues, he tried his best to put a smile and crack jokes through it all. His presence will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his wife, Deysi Palacios; daughter, Geraldine Sanchez Palacios; mother, Nicolasa Ocampo; brothers, Francisco Sanchez Ocampo, Miguel Sanchez Ocampo, Benito Sanchez Ocampo, Palemon Sanchez Ocampo and Ruben Sanchez Ocampo; sister, Lorenia Sanchez Ocampo and a large and loving group of extended family and friends. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help the family with final expenses and may be made payable to Wilkerson Funeral Home at 1909 Richardson Drive, Reidsville, NC 27320.

Una misa se hará en su honor en la iglesia Holy Infant Catholic Church el viernes, Agosto 30, 2024 a las 11 de la mañana oficiada por el padre Frank J. Seabo Jr. La familia y amistades están bienvenidos a presentar sus respetos una hora después de la misa en la iglesia. Güero nació en Ixcapuzalco a Nicolasa Ocampo y el defunto Miguel Sánchez. Sobrevive, su esposa, Deysi Palacios; hija, Geraldine Sánchez Palacios; madre, Nicolasa Ocampo; hermanos, Francisco Sánchez Ocampo, Miguel Sanchez Ocampo, Benito Sanchez Ocampo, Palemon Sanchez Ocampo and Ruben Sanchez Ocampo; hermana, Lorenia Sánchez Ocampo y un gran amoroso grupo de extendida familia y amigos.

Guero fue un maravilloso padre y esposo que siempre se aseguró de consentir a su esposa y hija. Uno de sus grandes logros fue ser padre. El siempre quiso tener hijos y fue afortunado de tener una hija y pasar 5 años con ella. Lo que más amaba fue poder pasar tiempo con su hija y siendo el mejor papá para ella. El amaba pescar y cuidar de sus plantas. El era feliz y disfrutaba hablar con todos. Aunque estaba batallando con sus problemas de salud, el siempre andaba sonriente y contando chistes a pesar de todo. Su presencia va ser extrañada por todos los que tenían un placer de conocerlo.
