Yvonne Juanita Barber

Yvonne Juanita Barber, 85, of Reidsville, joined her family in heaven Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Moses Cone Hospital.

A graveside funeral service will be held, 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Reidlawn Cemetery with Rev. Mike Barber officiating.

Yvonne was born in Rockingham County to the late Jesse and Myrtle Barber. She retired after 38 years of service from Southern Bell where she worked in customer service. Yvonne enjoyed vacationing in Miami Beach and staying at the Castaways in her younger days. She loved music, family gatherings, and “people watching”. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers Jesse Barber, Jr., Willie Barber, and Roy Barber, and her beloved niece Angela Barber Willis.

Yvonne is survived by her sister Judy Melanson and husband Ron of Orange Park, FL; like her own granddaughters Danielle Willis and Ariel Owens; and a large extended family.
