Yvonne Moore Sands

Yvonne Moore Sands, 87, of Reidsville, NC, passed away peacefully at her home, June 19, 2023.                    .

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, June 23, 2023, at Wilkerson Funeral Home, with Andy Moore officiating.  Burial will follow at New Lebanon Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
  
Yvonne was born in 1935 to the late Floyd and Beulah Ramsey Moore in Reidsville and lived most of her life in Rockingham County.  She graduated from Bethany High School in May, 1954 and married Aaron Sands, October, 1954.  She was a member of New Lebanon Church.

She worked 10 years at Gem Dandy, Madison, NC and 25 years at Sears, Roebuck & Co. Mail Order Center, Greensboro, NC.  She loved planting flowers, having a garden, sewing, and cooking for family and friends.  

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings:  Dorothy “Dean” Wall, James Moore, Billy Moore, and Floyd Lee Moore, and other loving family members.  She is survived by siblings:  Mary Anna Hudson, Edna Tilley, Douglas Moore, and Brenda Holt, along with several nieces and nephews.
